this is a different kind of update that's 99% not not Pixie related.
i'm only making this page incase it might help anyone and if it helps even just one person it makes it worth it to me

if you’re a veteran and not with the VA because you thought you weren’t eligible, or denied for incomplete paperwork, please try again! the VA system has changed over the years and for the better in a lot of ways. there’s still tons of paperwork involved before and after joining the VA but it is extremely worth it when finished. especially if you have any heart conditions. also if you are with the VA and have been for a long time time you might want to re-ask about your benefits and what youre eligible for. things may have been updated to include dental and stuff that the VA may not of been able to offer you before. and if you get scheduled to see a VA specialist that's an hour away there's DAV that offers free van rides to you appointment but it only runs from 8AM to 11:30AM and you have to be at your local VA a hour and half earlier than your scheduled appointment time

here's a YouTube channel that explains a lot of the in's-and-out's of the VA system: The Vocalveteran

if you are a veteran thank you for your service and welcome home!

for anyone who wears suspenders, there are these! (i found them on Amazon)

you dont have to put up with these that pop open easily on their own

warning: content below might be sorta-kinda grossish maybe? LOL i dont know how to put it exactly. but anyway......

if youre on a catheter show this video to your urologist and make them aware of this invention that stops catheter pain/bladder spasms. maybe it will speed up getting it out to people ('of all ages') that need it.

other cathter topics:
your urologist is very limited to what their supplier sustains them with. so if you don’t like 'anything' your urologist uses, please do yourself a favor and look online (or get a family member or a friend to do it for you and order it for you like we had to) there's different style leg bags with different valve types (some you twist, some you flip, some you squeeze to open or close it) my advice is to order the 900 or larger ML leg bags so you don’t have to empty it so often

there’s also velcro catheter stabilizing straps and velcro leg bag holder straps online too! no more having to put up with the catheter stabilizer that glues to your leg and hurts when peeled off and very irritating on your skin. no more fumbling around with the phony garter looking leg bag strap with the button if you find the velcro ones!

also do yourself a favor and find metal hemostats to clamp the tubing off. makes it a lot easier to swtich from leg bag to night bag. the plastic ones work for a really long time but can break
